I’ve been with my SO for a little over a year and a half. Love his stupid face to death! I’ve been cooking for him since about week two or three, and it’s been consistent when we’ve had consistent access to a kitchen. That hasn’t always been the case.

Within this last year and a half, I’ve made a whole slew of new dishes that he’d never had or considered. I got him to start eating some new veggies. I’ve tricked him into liking things he’s claimed to hate! It’s been a successful cooking adventure to say the least. Well, except for 2 meals. Those 2 meals were awful, but not necessarily my fault.

My love absolutely adores mushrooms. I’ve made stuffed mushrooms before, and he’s always so sad when they’re gone. He loves them so much. I think they’re one of his favorite things that I’ve cooked. I know that he’ll love these seafood stuffed mushrooms as well. I can’t wait to make these for him. Valentine’s Day is in about a month. That sounds perfect! Check out the recipe on the next page.

  1. I love to make puff pastry filled with the cream cheese, snow crab, finely diced green onion, garlic powder a dash of it and a couple of dashes of Worcestershire sauce. Then put them back in the oven to completely heat everything up. They are delicious. Its very time consuming and takes a lot of eggs to make the puff pastry but someone told me you can buy it already made in frozen isle. So I will check that out. When you make them from scratch they have to be baked, then sliced in half, the insides pulled out then back into oven to dry out. They are great for making the snow crab balls or filling with Bavarian Creme and topped with melted chocolate. So for appetisers or dessert they are great.

I have a super easy recipe for stuffed mushrooms. 1# Jimmy Dean Sage sausage, thawed, browned and drained if there is too much grease (usually won’t be any plus grease is flavor). Take at least 4 oz of soft cream cheese and combine with the cooked sausage (in the same skillet). Stir until all meat is coated. Take at least 1 package of white mushrooms (or baby Portabellas, stems removed and caps cleaned). Stuff with sausage mix and place on cookie sheet or baking dish and bake 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes. Once you smell them they are pretty much done. And enjoy. They are the best!
